  • Who can live in Univillage?
    Univillage accommodates all students that are from University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus(UNMC) from any country in the world. Please note that you should be: - a student who is taking a course in UNMC - a student on an organised study-abroad programme - or a student conducting a work placement course as part of a degree-granting programme - you must be 18 years old* or over at the time of check-in. *You are able to book from the age of 16 at time of check-in however you will need to supply us with an indemnity form and comply with our under 18 year old policy. ** Rooms on nightly basis (short term) are available for visitors such as visiting parents or visiting guests of UNMC.   • What is the contract length?
    We offer a 12 months contract at a lower rent per month. Whereas for anything less than 12 months will be at a higher price, subject to room availability. When making an online booking, please ensure that you check the terms & conditions beforehand.
  • Are kitchen essentials and bedding included in my room?
    At Univillage you will need to provide your own linen, duvet, pillows, towels and etc. Cooking is strictly PROHIBITED in the unit (except for Suites & Penthouses). However, we have a common kitchen for all to enjoy but you will need to provide your own kitchen crockery, pans, pots etc. Alternatively, you can buy the needy from the grocery store located in Univillage Clubhouse.
  • What documents will I need for check in?
    You will need to provide the following documents : - A copy of your Identification Card (NRIC) for local students, or a copy of your passport for foreign students. - A copy of your Student ID, or proof of studied from UNMC with an acceptance letter if you're a new student. This documents are needed prior to check-in and can be sent to us via email @ admin@univillage.com.my .
  • What do I need to pay before I arrive?
    REGISTRATION FEES RM150 applicable for new bookings DEPOSIT 3 months upfront payment (2 months rental & 1 month utility deposit) RENTAL TERM Less than 6 months contract – Full Payment Rental 7th till 12th months contract – 2 Equal Billing apply
  • Will I have internet in my room?
    If you have subscribed for wifi, you will have internet connection throughout Univillage compound.
  • What are the guest policies?
    For your own safety and security, we have a few guest policies in place. You can only host a maximum of three (3) guests at one time during the day from 9:00am to 11:00pm in the rented room. For overnight stay, visiting guest(s) may apply for short stay in advance online or over the counter at the Accommodation Office during the office hours. All guests must be 18 years of age or over. You will have to sign in your guests and they must bring a photo ID to gain entry in the building.
  • Will my room be cleaned?
    If you wish, you can clean your room yourself. But if you’re not a fan of cleaning, we can offer you room cleaning service from RM50 onwards. Just walk in to the Accommodation Office to request for the cleaning service whenever required.
  • What's not included?
    Air-conditioner usage is excluded from the rental. Facilities such as mini bar, microwave, and gym membership can be added on separately. You can find the laundry room at Univillage clubhouse.
  • Can I change my room after I move in if I don't like it?
    Yes you can, but we can only offer this if there is still space available with an admin fees and you must have a valid reason. Please bear in mind that different rooms are offered at different prices and it may be that you have to pay a different rate to occupy a different room.
  • What happens if i lose my key or get locked out if my room?
    You are required to pay admin charges on both scenarios. Charges can be referred to the Student Accommodation Handbook which are provided upon check-in.
  • Is there a fitness centre? Is it free?
    Yes, there is a fitness centre on the rooftop in the clubhouse. However, residents are entitled to special membership fees.
  • What happens if my lightbulb needs replacing?
    At Univillage, we have on-site, maintenance staff who are available during office hours. A maintenance request shall be lodged at the Accommodation Office before the works of repair carry out unless in the case of emergency, reports can be made later on. They will be able to sort out all those pesky plumbing jobs, electrical fixes, and repairs in your room and the communal areas. With one simple request, help is on the way.
